Philanthropitch 2020 Virtual Event: Social Impact For Austin’s Nonprofits

July 20, 2020

The Bank of Austin proudly presents Philanthropitch Austin, an exciting virtual pitch competition where five of Austin's most innovative nonprofits take the stage to compete for financial capital, business coaching, pitch training and promotion.

"We are honored to support Philanthropitch Austin and help raise funding and support for innovative nonprofits," said Jon Eckert, President and CEO of The Bank of Austin.

Philanthropitch was founded in 2013 in Austin, Texas and to date has given over $1.3 million in donations to more than 80 organizations. The amount which will be given away to Austin finalists this year is expected to exceed $80,000. The audience will also select a favorite finalist for the Audience Choice Award and the winner will be awarded additional funds.

This year's finalists who will present 3-minute pitches include:

HealthCode – Empower people to live healthier, happier lives free from preventable chronic diseases.

Austin YMBL Sunshine Camps – Engage and empower youth through education and outdoor experiences.

Jail To Jobs – Empower youth offenders to find purpose, personal growth, and achievement through employment, thereby changing the cycle of incarceration and saving taxpayers dollars.

Excellence and Advancement Foundation – Transform how communities combat the school to prison pipeline. Supporting children at risk of becoming involved in the criminal justice system through prevention, intervention and advocacy programs.

Colin's Hope – Raise water safety awareness to prevent drowning by promoting water safety in communities and educating children, parents, caregivers and lifeguards on drowning prevention.
